Believed to be one of history’s oldest dances has entranced audiences around the world for centuries.
Despite its name, belly dancing draws on full body movement from head to toe providing a good cardiovascular workout that helps increase both flexibility and strength.

Montvale Community Recreation Program
Memorial School Multi-Purpose Room

Tuesdays: All Levels & Intermediate/Advanced
Spring 2010: April 13, 20, 27, May 4, 11, 18, 25

Registration will take place on the first session of each class. Residents and non-residents 18 years of age or older are invited to participate. High School students may participate in this program if accompanied by and adult. The fee for this 7-week program is $40 for residents and $60 for non-residents.

Belly Dancing - this low-impact fitness/dance class will help improve body posture and awareness. This ancient form of dance is a great workout for the waist, hips, and thighs. In addition, belly dancing is a beautiful form of self-expression.

For the new and more experienced dancer the Beginner Class will drill basic dance technique and develop the vocabulary of Bellydance.

The Advanced moves will expand on the basics by adding American Tribal Style moves and combinations and work towards group improvisation.
